It has been a big week for Nissan at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show! One of the highlights thus far has been the official release of the 2019 Murano. The automaker pulled the cover off its latest design of the crossover SUV, revealing refreshed exterior and interior details that are garnering a lot of support from Nissan fans.
Starting with the front end, the 2019 Murano now boasts a new, more pronounced V-motion grille, bringing the crossover SUV in-line with the brand’s latest design language. It is complemented by the addition of redesigned LED headlights and taillights, as well as new LED foglights. All this rides on enhanced 18-inch and 20-inch sparkling aluminum-alloy wheels, which look wonderfully sleek next to the three newly available exterior colors: Mocha Almond Pearl, Deep Blue Pearl, and Sunset Drift Chromaflair.
Inside the cabin, the Murano commands attention and dishes up comfort from the semi-aniline leather-appointed seats with diamond-quilted inserts and contrasting micro-piping trim. Three new interior trim finishers also add to the vehicle’s aesthetic.
The Murano’s safety inclusions have been further bolstered as well with the addition of standard Rear Door Alert and available Traffic Sign Recognition and Intelligent Lane Intervention. Also available is Nissan Safety Shield 360, which is a suite of six advanced active safety and driver-assist technologies designed to help provide 360 degrees of active driver assistance, crash avoidance and pedestrian detection. They include Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning, High Beam Assist and Rear Automatic Braking.

Demand more from the crossover market than mere comfort. Instead inject premium power into every mile - trading a dull engine for potent V6 strength. The 2018 Murano SL is waiting.
According to Trucks.com, the new Murano delivers exceptional performance to Des Moines, with drivers able to sample a rugged 24-valve DOHC design. Peek beneath the hood - if you dare - and discover a 3.5L V6, which generates up to 260 HP (at 6,000 RPMs) and 240 lb.-ft of torque (at 4,400 RPMs). An XTRONIC transmission yields smooth gear responses, while the FWD boasts a multi-link design to ensure refined handling. Optional two-wheel to four-wheel transfer technology optimizes the power-band, seamlessly shifting traction between the front and the rear; and dual stabilizer bars counter even the sharpest curves, maintaining precise trajectories.
These elements allow the Murano to move nimbly down every street - with its V6 block delivering a drag coefficient of only 0.31. This lets the platform compete with smaller sport coupes and ensures aerodynamic handling with each press of the pedal.
The 2018 Murano SL is no lumbering giant. It’s instead a fierce crossover competitor - and Des Moines drivers will reap the rewards of its custom-tuned powertrain.

With winter weather comes highway danger - slick roads and foggy mornings, the fast press of brakes from surrounding cars. Every mile brings a new challenge to conquer, and you fear your meek sedan won’t handle the strain.
It’s time, we think, for a seasonal upgrade.
As Trucks.com explains, the 2018 Murano SV proves ready for every winter worry - with Nissan fusing this platform with a bevy of safety features. Blind-spot mirrors pair with cross-traffic alerts, monitoring the stop-and-go rhythms of passing cars; while automatic emergency braking technology engages as needed, utilizing intuitive sensors to detect approaching obstacles. Forward collision warnings deliver real-time notifications to drivers, streaming visual alerts via the LCD console; and electronic traction control responds seamlessly to changing road conditions, activating both the strut-front suspension and the ABS to improve torque distribution. Fog lamps enhance visibility, while optional heated lenses allow the side-view mirrors to remain free of sleet.
Further assisting Newcastle drivers are the dual stabilizer bars - which promise steady handling on slick curves. These pair with speed-sensitive steering to optimize every mile, allowing the Murano to more effectively respond to fickle weather patterns.
Nissan recognizes the need for winter safety - and its 2018 Murano SV proves the perfect option for every snowy day. To learn more about this crossover contact us today.

According to a press release, the Nissan Group ended the summer off with a bang selling 112,376 units in August 2018, which is an increase of 4 percent compared to the same time last year. This gain was largely due to the Nissan Murano, which set a summer sales record, selling 9,619 units. Compared to last August’s 4,895 units, that’s an increase of almost 97 percent!
This isn’t the first time that the Murano has taken the charts by storm. In July, the crossover experienced an uptick, even though Nissan as a whole saw a 15 percent decrease in overall sales when compared to the same time last year.
So what’s all the fuss about, you ask? Why are crossover shoppers congregating to the Murano? It’s the vehicle’s enhanced feature set.
For 2018, Nissan augmented the Murano by offering even more standard and available equipment, which are first-class in nature and wildly purposeful. This includes the tech options on the vehicle, which now include a new Premium Package that boasts a wide range of driver-assist and convenience features. With this add-on, motorists can benefit from an Intelligent Around View Monitor and Intelligent Cruise Control, as well as an Intelligent Driver Alertness feature. There is also a Power Panoramic Moonroof, Bose premium audio system with 11 speakers, and heated front seats and outside mirrors to sweeten the pot.
The 2018 Murano delivers drivers even more value than previous models. To learn more about this premium platform, including pricing and specs, contact our team at Kirkland Nissan in Seattle for a test drive.

Earlier this month, Nissan Group announced their July 2018 U.S. sales. And while the month saw its typical summer slump with a 15 percent sales decline across the board, there was one shining star to grace the automaker's sales charts – the 2018 Murano.
According to Nissan’s press release, sales of the crossover rose by four percent from 6,314 units in July 2017 to 6,549 in July 2018. The Murano has also shown gains year-to-date with an 11 percent uptick in sales in 2018.
At Kirkland Nissan in Seattle, Washington, we have experienced the growing popularity of the Murano crossover first-hand. Buyers continued to flock to this vehicle for its high-end luxury and tech features, but at an affordable price-point.
Starting at $30,800, the Murano comes well-equipped with a number of new standard features, even at the base level, such as Automatic Emergency Braking and Intelligent Forward Collision Warning. Moving up the trim levels brings even more inclusions, like a Motion-Activated Power Liftgate on SL and Platinum grades, or Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert on the SV. NissanConnect with Navigation featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is also standard on all models. You really do get tremendous value when you choose this sales chart success!

Automotive spies are at it again - and this time, they have their eyes on the highly-anticipated 2019 Nissan Murano. The SUV was recently spotted in partial camo, boasting exterior updates that have speculators very excited.
Upon first glances, it appears the 2019 Murano will embrace similar design cues as its sibling, the new Nissan Altima, which is set to debut at the 2018 New York Auto Show. Based on the spy footage, the Murano features a revised Nissan V-Motion grille, which is flanked by sharp-looking LED headlamps. Around back, there are also new taillights, which look to have more red in their coloring than the usual mix of crimson and clear parts.
As for the interior, rumors are swirling about there being an updated infotainment system, similar to the all-new 2018 Nissan Kicks. We also expect that the Murano will include safety features from the automaker's ProPilot Assist line-up, which would be well-received by Seattle drivers. Word on the street is that the SUV's engine specs will remain the same, but as we know, Nissan does like to surprise the masses, from time to time.
The 2019 Nissan Murano is expected to make its debut later this year. To learn more about its availability, pricing and specs, be sure to check back to our blog or contact our team at Kirkland Nissan to remain in the loop.
