Peter pulled out all the stops to local the perfect vehicle for us! The original deal could not go ahead due to unforseen circumstances and Peter worked a mircle to find the exact same vehicle at another dealership and arrange for it to be delivered to Key West Ford and we were able to pick it up 2 days earlier than we thought would happen! Our dealings with Peter made us very confidant that we had chosen the right dealership to go to.

nissan gt-r dealer seattle tacoma kirkland washingtonGreat news, vintage GT-R fans! Nissan’s 2.6-liter twin-turbocharged inline-6, known as the RB26DETT, is back in production and can be bought as individual parts. This engine is famous for powering three generations of the Skyline GT-R and is hailed for its ability to punch high above its weight.

RB26 engines are available for purchase through Nissan’s Nismo Heritage Parts Program, allowing tuners the ability to
build their dream car using customized components. Currently, the list includes the cylinder block and head, crankshaft, gaskets, pistons, connecting rods, exhaust assembly, fuel pump assembly, wiring harness, and more. Nissan is also offering two versions of the engine block – a standard unit for $1,500, which can be fitted to the R32, R33 and R34 GT-R generations, and a $3,800 N1 block for the R33 and R34.

According to
AutoBlog, these parts are only available through local dealers in the Japanese domestic market and other foreign markets. However, since the R32 is eligible for import, they figure that shrewd Skyline enthusiasts will have no trouble bringing these parts into North America.

nissan dream garage seattle washingtonSeattle tuners – start your engines! Nissan just announced that they will celebrate 50 years of performance at the New York International Auto Show in April. While their teaser doesn’t explain much as of now, fans can get a sneak preview of the Nissan Dream Garage, which will be on display at the show.

The automaker shared an image of their Dream Garage, which includes well-lit models of a 240Z,
an R32-generation GT-R race car, a C110-generation GT-R, and an R34-generation GT-R. Lurking below in the shadows, it’s hard to decipher the other types of vehicles, but speculators say that a 50th-anniversary edition 370Z is a possibility, along with a modern GT-R, GT-R50, and GT-R Nismo.

Industry insiders have been waiting with bated breath for
the official word from Nissan regarding new generations of the 370Z and GT-R. Any Google search brings up pages of content hypothesizing about the forthcoming models’ performance specs and design features. Last we heard, the next Z might premiere with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with hybrid assistance, while the GT-R will utilize electrification. While we wait for official confirmation, the Nissan Dream Garage is a nice distraction.

The NYIAS kicks off on Friday, April 19, 2019. Be sure to check back to our blog for show news and highlights as they unfold.

Another limited-edition GT-R model is on its way and this time it is in partnership with the renowned Japanese Grand Slam tennis champion, Naomi Osaka, who was also recently named Nissan’s brand ambassador.

The automaker has already started taking orders for the model, which will be available in a choice of three exterior hues (Midnight Opal, Brilliant White Pearl and Meteor Flake Black Pearl) and three interior colourways (tan, cream and red) – all schemes chosen by Osaka herself. On the exterior, the special edition GT-R will boast LED high-mount stop lights on the dry carbon rear spoiler, plus the engine room will be adorned with a special golden model-number plate.

Only 50 units of the collector car will be produced for the Japanese market and the model will have customized specifications that will be derived from the Nissan GT-R Premium grade.

There’s been some huge news in the automotive world this week! If you recall back to last June, Nissan revealed a special edition of its GT-R during the Goodwood Festival of Speed in England. The vehicle marked the 50th anniversary of both the model and Italdesign – the Italian firm in charge of the GT-R50’s design. Days before its public debut at Goodwood, an official prototype was unveiled, yet there was no word of a forthcoming production.

Well, all that has changed. Nissan and Italdesign have now confirmed that a limited production run of the GT-R50 will, in fact, move ahead.

Priced at 990,000 euros (or approximately $1.1 million USD), the GT-R50 will growl with a 3.8-liter V6 engine rated at 710 horsepower. This is over and above the performance of the regular model with the NISMO trim level, plus buyers will have a choice of interior and exterior colors to suit their personal style.

Check it out for yourself:

The special edition GT-R50 will be produced in Italdesign’s shop in Turin, Italy, with only 50 models being made. Deliveries are expected to begin in 2019 and will continue through 2020.

new nissan gtr for sale seattle bellevue waGive yourself the gift of speed this season. Nissan has just unveiled its 2019 GT-R, promising full-throttle performance with every press of the pedal… and bringing holly-jolly thrills to Puyallup.

According Telegram.com, the new GT-R will soon rev to the top of the sport charts. Beneath its hood purrs a 2.8L V6. This powerpoint blends a twin-turbo design with a dual-clutch six-speed manual transmission, affording it class-leading metrics (565 HP and 467 lb.-ft of torque). 20-inch aluminum-alloy wheels cling to every corner, while a spoiler delivers aerodynamic responses: slicing away wind to reduce friction and propel the platform forward. Four-piston Brembo brakes anchor the rear, enhancing each response; while an adjustable suspension bolsters the all-wheel-drive.

When these technologies combine, they deliver exceptional performance - with the 2019 GT-R yielding a top-speed ratio of almost 200 MPH. This translates to a 0 to 60 run of less than three seconds, and it promises high-adrenaline fun for every driver.

Japan's street racing scene is one of the most illustrious in the world. And now, a police team in Tochigi Prefecture is taking a unique step forward by adding a Nissan GT-R to their fleet. Donated by a local man, the police are now using the legendary street racer to fight crime at high speeds.

To be distinguished as a cop car, the GT-R is equipped with red flashing lights on the roof of the fast-moving vehicle and LED strobes on the bumper. It also sports the police unit’s black and white paint to match the rest of the patrol fleet. With a cruiser that can go from 0-60 miles per hour in just 2.7 seconds, criminals all over Tochigi Prefecture better be on high alert. With 565 horses under the hood, they won’t have much hope of escaping this cruiser.

Funnily enough, there is also a hometown connection here. According to The Drive, the factory where the GT-R has been built since 2007 is located in Tochigi Prefecture. Talk about a natural fit!

Could you imagine looking into your rearview mirror and seeing a GT-R with flashing lights barrelling your way? It certainly would be one exhilarating ride back to the police station.

nissan gt-r for sale in seattle washingtonIn an exclusive interview with Autocar at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Nissan’s design head Alfonso Albaisa was quoted as saying that the next-generation Nissan GT-R could become the “fastest super-sports car in the world.” Quite the bold statement, but for those who follow Nissan closely, you know that the sky is the limit for the innovative automaker.

The GT-R is currently in the very early stages of design and engineering – the supercar’s powertrain and all-new platform have yet to be finalized. Speculators have been questioning whether the GT-R will be electrified. In the interview, Albaisa he admitted that electrification was possible, but not confirmed.

“We are definitely making a new platform and our goal is clear: the GT-R has to be the quickest car of its kind,” he told the publication. “It has to own the track. And it has to play the advanced technology game; but, that doesn’t mean it has to be electric.”

As for its styling, Albaisa said the next-gen GT-R would be imposing, have presence and be a beast. He even went so far as to call the supercar “the world’s fastest brick” with “less wing” and more heft to it.

Based on Albaisa’s comments in the article, it appears that the production car is still several years away with some industry insiders commenting that we may not see the new GT-R debut until the next decade. Good things come to those who wait!

In the meantime, you can experience excitement on Seattle’s roads in a stock 2018 GT-R. To schedule a test drive, contact our team at Kirkland Nissan.
The speed crown may soon rest upon a new chassis - with Nissan declaring that its 2019 GT-R will be the fastest sports car in the world. Such a statement has drawn curiosity and confusion in equal measure, with critics uncertain if the brand can keep its promise.

The Kirkland Nissan team, however, has full faith in the new GT-R. After all, it will serve as a direct successor to the record-breaking 2018 model.

As The Drive explains, Nissan is gearing up for highway domination - certain that its 2019 GT-R will prove unbeatable on straightaways and sharp curves alike. While official specs remain scarce, critics anticipate that this car will mimic the performance ratios of the 2018 version (which is anchored by a potent 3.8L V6). 700 HP is expected and torque values could rise as much as 10%, revving to more than 500 lb.-ft.

How will Nissan achieve such staggering power? The answer would lie in its engine design - which should pair twin-turbochargers with a high-capacity tuner. This would raise the redline past 7,000 RPMs and it would allow the car to deliver pure V6 performance (a 9.0:1 compression ratio would deliver exceptional combustion, while double overhead camshafts would enhance air intake levels to optimize temperature). No official top-speed ratings have been released, but many expect the GT-R to surpass 200 MPH.

This year, Nissan will be blowing out 50 candles as the GT-R turns a half-century old. And to mark the occasion, they have teamed up with Italdesign, a styling firmed founded by the legendary Giorgetto Giugiaro (which is also celebrating 50 years) to collaborate on a one-off Nismo-based sports car, dubbed the GTR-50.

The radically styled machine was created in-house by Nissan European and North American design teams, while Italdesign oversaw the development, engineering and production.

The GTR-50 is distinctive and crisp, boasting gold-colored highlights, a lowered roof, and an aggressive hood bulge. There are also unique headlight and taillight treatments, as well as a large adjustable wing.

Under the hood is a 3.8-liter V6 VR38DETT engine, which produces an estimated 720ps and 780 Nm of torque. Nissan also tuned the power plant to include two GT3-spec turbochargers, refreshed internals and cams, and higher-flow intake and exhausts, amongst many other tweaks.

The suspension was revised too, featuring a BILSTEIN DampTronic I continuously adjustable damping system, while the braking system incorporates Brembo six-piston front and four-piston rear brakes with bright red calipers. Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, sized 255/35 R21 in the front and 285/30 R21 in the rear, add a level of grip needed to harness the engine's forces.

To say it’s a powerhouse is an understatement!

There aren’t any plans to put the GT-R50 into production as of right now. In the meantime, you can experience the thrills and chills of Seattle’s roads in a stock 2018 GT-R. To schedule a test drive, contact our team at Kirkland Nissan.
