According to the NY Daily News, this system should deliver convenience. Utilizing advanced interior sensors, it monitors rear door access  - noting all openings and closings. By assessing activity, it can determine when items have been stowed in the back of the 2018 Pathfinder. Should drivers fail to retrieve these groceries, sporting goods, suitcases, and more, the car will automatically release a distinct triple honk of its horn. This (when paired with a flashing dashboard display) will ensure that all contents are retrieved.

Through its Rear-Door Alerts system, Nissan is enabling drivers to redefine their experiences - ensuring that no precious cargo is forgotten. The 2018 Pathfinder (which features a suite of intelligent mobility features, including the 360-degree Around View Monitor and Adaptive Cruise Control) will promote peace-of-mind with every mile.
